Ivy (Nan Ireland) was truly one of a kind.
From the very first day, all those years ago on 5th August, she opened her heart to me, to Ricky and to our seven children and treated us as her own blood without hesitation or condition. For 36 and a half years, her love was constant, generous and deeply felt.
Now she is back in the loving arms of her husband Roy, reunited just before their wedding anniversary, raising a glass together once more. There is comfort in knowing they are together again, but she will always be missed here.
Her kindness, her warmth, and the place she holds in our family will never be forgotten.
